Mont Redon
About The Brand

With roots dating back to 1344, Chateau Mont-Redon is one of the most historic and respected estates in the Rhone Valley. The estate has been in the hands of the Abeille-Fabre family since 1923, who have shaped it into a benchmark for quality in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Cotes du Rhone, and beyond.
Mont-Redons 100+ hectares of vines sit on the regions famed plateau, where large rolled pebbles (galets) absorb and release heat to help grapes achieve optimal ripeness. The combination of exceptional terroir, low yields, and meticulous vineyard management results in wines of depth, complexity, and age-worthy structure.

Winemaker

Pierre Fabre, fourth-generation of the Abeille-Fabre family, has led winemaking since 2008 and became Estate Director in 2017. He has modernised the winery with climate-controlled facilities, optical sorting, and precision vinification, while expanding the familys holdings into appellations like Gigondas, Lirac, and Vacqueyras. His approach blends tradition with innovation, always with a focus on expressing the unique character of each vineyard.

Style and Philosophy

Mont-Redon is known for crafting wines that balance power and elegance, with purity of fruit, fine tannins, and a hallmark freshness. The estate is HVE-certified and committed to sustainable viticulture, eliminating synthetic herbicides, encouraging biodiversity through cover crops and reforestation, and using precision farming to minimise environmental impact. Every wine reflects the unique character of its terroir and is made with the long-term health of the land in mind.
